Aaron M. Fischman, MD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology and Surgery in the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
At Mount Sinai, Dr. Fischman has pioneered the transradial (TR) technique for access to the arterial system from the wrist during oncologic liver interventions, uterine embolization for fibroids, and prostate embolization for men suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). He trains physicians from around the world on this minimally invasive technique which allows for improved patient comfort, immediate ambulation, and faster discharge to home.
